JOB DESCRIPTION – COMMIS CHEF

Location: FOX Hotel Glenmarie Shah Alam

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation and production while ensuring strict portion control in accordance with established standards.
• Minimise food wastage and prevent spoilage through proper food handling, storage and stock management.
• Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness at all times in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure the overall cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned work area, kitchen section and equipment.
• Ensure all food is presented and garnished according to the hotel's specified standards and requirements.
• Attend and participate in all assigned training sessions to enhance knowledge, skills and job performance.
• Maintain a pocket notebook to record recipes, instructions and relevant notes, and compile them into a summarised reference book.
• Carry out instructions and duties assigned by the immediate superior in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management as and when required.
• Monitor and assist with functions and events at FOX Hotel Glenmarie Shah Alam, ensuring that all food preparation, service requirements and operational needs are fulfilled.
• Assist in coordinating manpower, equipment and other resources required to support daily kitchen operations and functions.
• Ensure that the workplace is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition at all times.
• Provide continuous support to the department in achieving the outlet's targeted revenue and operational objectives.
• Comply with all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), hotel policies and departmental guidelines.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
