Job Description

The Olive Trees is looking for a passionate and dedicated Computer Teacher (Desktop Publishing) to join our private special education school. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching computer and desktop publishing skills while supporting students in developing their digital, creative and practical skills.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a relevant qualification in Computer Studies, Information Technology, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Desktop Publishing or a related field.

• Knowledge of desktop publishing and basic graphic design software.

• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passionate about teaching and guiding students with special educational needs.

• Patient, responsible and committed to supporting students’ development.

• Able to adapt teaching methods according to students’ learning abilities.

• Willing to learn and work as part of a team.

Employment Type: Full-Time – 1-Year Contract (including probation period), with the opportunity to be absorbed into a permanent position subject to performance and Management approval. Written notification will be provided two months prior to the contract’s expiration.

• Teach basic computer and desktop publishing skills to students.

• Plan and conduct practical computer-based lessons according to students’ abilities and learning needs.

• Guide students in using relevant software for desktop publishing, document design and basic digital content creation.

• Prepare suitable teaching materials, exercises and practical activities.

• Adapt teaching methods and activities to support students with special educational needs.

• Monitor students’ learning progress and provide appropriate guidance and support.

• Encourage students to develop digital, creative and independent learning skills.

• Maintain a safe, positive and supportive classroom environment.

• Work closely with teachers and other staff to support students’ overall development.

• Perform other duties related to computer education as assigned.
