About the Role
We are seeking an analytical and technically driven Data Engineer, IT Infrastructure to join a global enterprise technology center. In this role, you will build and optimize the reporting engines and data pipelines that monitor enterprise IT resource utilization. You will work directly with complex infrastructure telemetry; tracking server health, CPU, memory, storage, and network capacity trends to ensure optimal system performance.

Role Details:

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid working model based in Petaling Jaya. Onsite work is required during probation period.
• Working Hours: Following EMEA working hours from 3PM - 12AM MYT.
• Eligibility: Open to Malaysian candidates and candidates with eligible working passes — EP/Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETL & Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain data consolidation workflows and ETL processes to ingest and transform multi-source IT telemetry data.
• Database Reporting & SQL: Write complex, optimized SQL queries and build automated reporting solutions directly from enterprise databases and data warehouses.
• API Integration & Scripting: Implement REST API-based data extraction scripts (handling JSON/XML payloads) to pull metrics from various infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Infrastructure Analytics: Focus heavily on server and system performance metrics, turning raw capacity data into actionable dashboards and utilization insights.
• Reporting Tool Management: Develop and maintain technical reports using reporting tools such as BIRT, Power BI, Tableau, or Crystal Reports (hands-on familiarity or willingness to work with BIRT is a major plus).

Technical Stack (Must Have):

• SQL: Advanced query writing, complex joins, data aggregations, and performance tuning.
• Programming: Solid, practical proficiency in either Java OR Python.
• Data Workflows: Hands-on experience with ETL, data consolidation, and consuming REST APIs (JSON/XML).

Additional Experiences:

• Domain: Proven background working within an IT infrastructure environment (focusing on server capacity, performance metrics, and hardware/cloud resource tracking).
• Reporting Tools: Experience with any enterprise BI or reporting tool (e.g., BIRT, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
