Candidate must prossess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Degree, Advanced Degree.

Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, optionally Mandarin.

Liaise with client, sub-contractor and consultant pertaining to project issues.

To lead and be responsible for overall management of the project, including planning, execution, monitoring and ensuring timely completion of project within client’s requirements

Monitors on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.

Responsible on the project execution to ensure smooth progress and achieve target date of completion.

Manage the approved of work programme, review of drawings and daily monitoring of site progress and able to solve issues which may cause delay to project.

Preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports, method statement, work programme and progress claim for submission to client.

Attend site meeting with consultant, client meeting and to coordinate site meeting with sub-contractor and internal staff meeting or discussion

Construction managers plan, direct and coordinate the construction of civil engineering projects, buildings and dwellings, either as the manager of a department or as the general manager of an enterprise or organization that does not have a hierarchy of managers.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline from an accredited recognized university.

Professional Engineer (PE) certification is an added advantage

Should have at least 8 years of strong work experience with slope, roads & infrastructure projects preferably with JKR project.

Must have a broad general technical and construction background and able to work with consultant with alternative proposal that can give benefit to the projects.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.

Able to work beyond office hours and willing to travel

Tasks include –

Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications;

Coordinating labour resources and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment;

Negotiating with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget;

Preparing tenders and contract bids;

Operating and implementing coordinated work programmes for sites;

Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety;

Arranging submission of plans to local authorities;

Building under contract, or subcontracting specialized building services;

Arranging building inspections by relevant authorities;

Establishing and managing budgets, controlling expenditure and ensuring the efficient use of resources;

Overseeing the selection, training and performance of staff and subcontractors.
