JOB PURPOSE

The main purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the

Production operations to ensure efficient, high-quality production and smooth administration of all day to matters across all departments.

This involves coordinating and supervising production processes, managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Manager aims to achieve production targets, minimize costs, and maintain a safe, productive work environment while meeting customer demands and company objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Description

· Ensure a safe and clean work environment is maintained for all staff.

· Ensure Machine Productivity targets are monitored as OEE and maintained greater than 85%.

· Ensure production team is aware of quality expectations of the management and products are made in line or exceeding expectations. Department housekeeping to be maintained in line with management expectations and ISO – BRC guidelines.

· Ensure scrap is managed at <5% across all sections of the production.

· Ensure consumption of ink and glue is monitored and identify ways to reduce the same.

· Always maintain machine clean and operational.

· Ensure worker training plan is in place and diligently followed covering HSE, Quality and Technical Skills.

· Coordinate with quality department to ensure certifications across quality management, ethical compliance and local government laws are upheld all the while. As a team, manage all annual audits like ISO, BRC, ECAS and customer audits visits and address all non-conformities timely to ensure smooth continuity of business and operations.

· Liaise with management for any major expenditure undertaking and seek timely approval prior to execution of any expenditure.

· Execute any other task assigned by senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

8-10 years of production management experience in a paper bags manufacturing organization.

COMPETENCIES

• Need to be well-versed with SOS Handle Bags (Flat & Twisted), Satchel Bags.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making

skills.

• Proficiency with manufacturing software (e.g.,

ERP systems like Dynamics 365 AX) and other

relevant IT tools.

• Proven track record of managing and improving

production processes.

• Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain

continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
