Part-Time English Tutor / Teacher

Smart Didik Education Centre – Kuantan, Pahang

Smart Didik Education Centre is looking for a passionate and confident Part-Time English Tutor/Teacher who is able to teach secondary school students and help them improve their English communication and public speaking skills.

We are looking for someone who is not only strong in English academically, but also able to encourage students to speak confidently, express their ideas clearly, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to Primary and Secondary School Student).
• Conduct lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing and other relevant English skills.
• Conduct English Speaking & Communication activities to improve students' conversational skills.
• Teach and guide students in English Public Speaking, including presentation skills, speech delivery, pronunciation and confidence.
• Encourage students to communicate actively in English during lessons.
• Prepare suitable teaching materials, exercises and interactive classroom activities.
• Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create an engaging, positive and supportive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods according to students' different learning abilities and proficiency levels.

Requirements

Candidates should meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Graduate / Diploma holder from any field with excellent English proficiency, particularly in speaking and communication; OR
• Diploma / Degree in TESL, English Language, English Education, Linguistics, Communication or any related field.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Confident speaking in front of students and conducting communication or public speaking activities.
• Good pronunciation and ability to explain English clearly.
• Friendly, responsible, patient and comfortable working with teenagers.
• Able to make lessons interactive and encourage students to participate actively.

Added Advantages

• Previous experience teaching English at tuition centres, schools or through private tutoring.
• Experience teaching English Speaking / Communication Skills.
• Experience in public speaking, debate, presentation, emceeing or speech competitions.
• TESL or English-related graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates with excellent English and strong communication skills are also welcome to apply.

Job Type

Part-Time

Classes may be conducted on weekday evenings and/or weekends, depending on the class schedule.
