Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in EHS or safety management.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements (DOSH, DOE, OSHA).
• Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in Safety & Health Officer (SHO) or equivalent is an advantage

Responsibilities
Position Overview
The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safe workplace, minimizing risks, and promoting sustainability across operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Compliance & Regulatory Management
• Ensure adherence to Malaysian occupational safety and health laws, DOE, DOSH, and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain updated records of permits, licenses, and regulatory submissions.
• Safety Programs & Training
• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for employees.
Risk Assessment & Incident Management
• Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare incident reports and follow-up actions.
Environmental Management
• Monitor waste management, emissions, and resource usage to ensure sustainability.
• Support initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote green practices.
Audits & Continuous Improvement
• Conduct internal EHS audits and coordinate external inspections.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.
