ASSISTANT BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT

1. Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks generally fall into three pillars: Market Intelligence, Client Management, and Technical Proposal Support.

• Market Analysis & Lead Generation: * Identify potential new customers (e.g., car brands looking for parts manufacturers).
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and technological advancements (e.g., lightweighting, ADAS components).
• Research emerging trends like EV battery casing or sustainable materials to suggest new product lines.
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
• Serve as the point of contact for existing clients (OEMs/Tier-1 suppliers) to ensure satisfaction and identify "up-sell" opportunities.
• Update and maintain the CRM database with meeting notes, project timelines, and contact details.
• Coordinate factory visits and audits for potential clients.
• Sales & Proposal Support:
• Assist in preparing RFQs (Request for Quotations) and technical tenders.
• Collaborate with the R&D and Engineering teams to ensure the manufacturing plant can meet the client’s technical specifications.
• Prepare professional presentations for "pitch" meetings and industry trade shows.
• Administrative & Reporting:
• Track Sales KPIs, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
• Ensure all commercial contracts and legal documents are updated and compliant with company policy.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an added advantage. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in market research, business development, and customer relationship management.
• Knowledge of automotive industry, manufacturing, or OEM/Tier-1 suppliers is an added advantage.
• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to prepare presentations, reports, quotations, and business proposals.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation (mandatory).
• Willing to travel and meet customers when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,100.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
