Key Qualifications

Electrical Engineer:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in MV & LV power system design.

Mechanical Engineer:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Air Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) design, and Active Fire Protection Services.

General Requirements:

• Eligibility & Rights: Must possess valid, legal authorization to work in Malaysia.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Professional working proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively communicate and liaise with regional suppliers and clients.
• Experience: Open to mid-to-senior level engineers as well as motivated fresh graduates. On-the-job training and mentorship will be provided for entry-level hires.
• Industry Focus: A background in Data Centre design and commissioning is highly advantageous.
• Core Skills: Strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule.
• Professional Standing: Eligible for registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Professional Engineer, or currently registered as a PEPC.
• Bonus Qualifications: Proficiency in BIM or accreditation as an Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) is a strong plus.

Role Description & Responsibility

(Note: Responsibilities and autonomy will be scaled according to your experience level)

As an M&E Design Consultant, you will drive data centre projects from initial feasibility studies through to final handover. Key responsibilities include:

• Conceptualization & Design: Developing technical solutions and performing design consultant roles from feasibility stages to conceptual design.
• Documentation: Producing, coordinating, and reviewing detailed M&E design drawings and technical specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Reviewing workshop drawings and conducting regular on-site inspections to ensure quality compliance.
• Testing & Commissioning: Reviewing all T&C plans and attending factory and on-site testing.
• Regulatory Liaison: Coordinating with authorities having jurisdiction to secure necessary approvals for submissions and installations.
• Project Management: Attending all key project meetings, managing project closures, and preparing comprehensive handover documentation.
• Mobility & Client Relations: Interfacing with local and regional stakeholders; willingness to travel out of town when required to meet project needs.
