POSITION: ASSISTANT MANAGER, FINANCE (COSTING & INVENTORY)

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in costing, inventory or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of product costing, inventory management and cost analysis.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience using ERP systems being an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and analyse product costing, cost of goods sold (COGS) and material costs to ensure accurate cost reporting.
• Review product costing data, including bills of materials (BOM), production hours and product costs against reference prices.
• Prepare monthly inventory reports, including stock ageing, inventory valuation and net realisable value (NRV), for financial reporting.
• Coordinate stock-taking activities, validate results and ensure inventory records are accurately updated in the system.
• Monitor actual cost savings against targets and analyse their impact on the company's financial performance.
• Validate daily costing submissions and prepare actual cost reports using data extracted from the ERP system.
• Prepare monthly reports and submit required information to the Statistics Department and Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
• Support monthly financial closing and coordinate internal and external audits related to costing and inventory.
• Identify opportunities to improve costing processes, inventory control and reporting accuracy.
