What You'll Be Doing

1. Legal Advisory and Contract Management

• Provide legal advice to management and business teams on commercial and operational matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Identify potential legal and commercial risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain contract records and monitor important deadlines, renewal dates and contractual obligations.
• Review legal documentation for tenders, projects and new business activities.
• Coordinate with external legal advisers when specialised assistance is required.

2. Legal Risk and Regulatory Compliance

• Review business activities to identify legal and regulatory risks.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise management on their potential impact.
• Support the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Monitor identified compliance issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Advise business teams on applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

3. Data Protection and Privacy

• Support the company's Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsibilities and related activities.
• Assist with personal data protection policies, privacy enquiries and compliance matters.
• Support the handling and follow-up of personal data incidents.

4. Corporate Governance and Internal Policies

• Review and update company policies, procedures and governance practices.
• Ensure internal guidelines remain aligned with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Inform management of relevant regulatory developments and recommended actions.
• Work with internal stakeholders to improve compliance practices and address identified gaps.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in legal, compliance, corporate governance, risk management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate legal matters.
• Proven experience in contract drafting, review and negotiation.
• Good understanding of relevant laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, legal research and problem-solving skills.
• Good commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate with different stakeholders.
• Willing to work outside regular office hours when business needs require.
