Job Purpose

The Internship provides students pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management with hands-on exposure to daily hotel operations. The role is designed to support the department’s activities while allowing the intern to gain practical knowledge, develop industry skills, and experience professional work culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations of the assigned department (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, etc.) under supervision.
• Support guest service initiatives, ensuring a professional, courteous, and welcoming environment.
• Handle basic administrative and operational tasks such as documentation, filing, data entry, and guest communication.
• Participate in service delivery (check-in/check-out, room preparation, food & beverage service, event setup, etc.).
• Observe and learn standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance with company policies.
• Assist in coordinating events, promotions, or guest engagement activities when required.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for service improvement during internship.
• Uphold company values, grooming standards, and professional conduct at all times.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the internship, the student is expected to:

• Understand core hotel operations and departmental functions.
• Gain practical experience in guest service and hospitality standards.
• Develop professional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Apply academic knowledge in real-life hospitality situations.
• Build confidence and adaptability in handling guests and operational challenges.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality / Hotel Management or related field.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages an added advantage).
• Strong interpersonal skills, service-oriented, and a team player.
• Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
• Positive attitude, eager to learn, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Internship

Pay: RM500.00 - RM600.00 per month
