Job Summary

The Production Planner & Operations Executive is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time while maximizing machine capacity, manpower utilization, and inventory levels. The role also supports daily operational coordination, monitors production performance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Plan production based on customer orders, forecast, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production to ensure material availability.
• Perform Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules when necessary.
• Prioritize urgent customer orders and manage delivery commitments.

Operations Coordination

• Generate and issue purchase orders to the relevant suppliers in a timely manner to meet production demand, in line with the PO SOP.
• Monitor daily production output and identify bottlenecks.
• Ensure efficient utilization of machines, manpower, and resources.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance to resolve production quality issues.
• Ensure production targets are achieved.
• To handle schedule waste and PPE inventory for Production.

Inventory & Material Control

• Monitor raw material, work-in-process (WIP) inventory, and finished goods inventory.
• Prepare and process Inventory Production Requests (IPRs).
• Maintain and update stock out cards to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Ensure sufficient materials are available before production starts.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for material replenishment.
• Ensure accurate inventory records and timely replenishment of materials.
• Minimize excess inventory and obsolete stock.

Performance Monitoring

• Prepare daily and monthly production reports.
• Monitor KPIs such as:
• OTIF (On-Time In-Full)
• Production Efficiency
• Schedule Adherence
• Utilization
• Capacity & Machine Utilization
• Production Lead Time
• Inventory Accuracy
• Scrap & Rework Rate

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
