Minimum qualification: SKM Level 3, DKM Level 4, Diploma in Automotive Technology, or an equivalent automotive-related qualification.

Preferably 3–5 years of relevant automotive workshop experience, including experience handling complex repairs or supervising technicians.

Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, electronic, and diagnostic systems.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Experience in workshop job allocation, workflow coordination, and repair quality control.

Good leadership, communication, coaching, and team management skills.

Able to manage multiple repair jobs and prioritise urgent cases effectively.

Responsible for workmanship quality, productivity, safety, and compliance with company SOPs.

Familiarity with automotive diagnostic equipment, workshop management systems, and technical documentation.

Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, integrity, and teamwork.

Willing to attend manufacturer technical training and support new vehicle model launches.

Experience with automotive brands or authorised dealerships is an advantage.

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the workshop and assign repair jobs to technicians according to workload, skill level, and priority.

Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults and provide technical guidance to technicians.

Ensure all servicing, maintenance, and repair work meets manufacturer standards, technical specifications, and company SOPs.

Monitor job progress and ensure repairs are completed within the agreed turnaround time.

Conduct quality control inspections and verify completed repair work before vehicles are released for delivery.

Assist Service Advisors in identifying technical issues, explaining repair requirements, and recommending appropriate solutions.

Handle complex troubleshooting, repeat repairs, and technical cases requiring further investigation.

Monitor technician productivity, work quality, attendance, discipline, and compliance with workshop procedures.

Provide on-the-job training, technical coaching, and guidance to technicians, including fresh graduates and junior staff.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, machinery, and facilities.

Ensure workshop cleanliness, occupational safety, and proper handling of waste materials and vehicle components.

Maintain accurate technical records, job sheets, repair reports, and warranty-related documentation where applicable.

Coordinate with the Service Manager on manpower planning, workshop capacity, technical issues, and operational improvements.

Liaise with the manufacturer or technical support team regarding difficult repairs, technical bulletins, and warranty matters when required.

Perform other duties assigned by the Service Manager or management.
