Studio Climb 简介

Established in 2002, Studio Climb is a pre-production studio specializing in comprehensive design services such as conceptual illustrations, conceptual design service for character, environment, prop and matte painting.

Studio Climb also includes idea-generation and visual development, story boarding and directing for film, animated features and game cinematic services.

Between the years 2002–2007, Studio Climb has invested majority of their job focus in the games development, industry designing storyboards for game cinematic, game environment designs, directing and art directing. Our client folio includes not limited to; Japan Disney, Konami’s Disney Sport Series, Ubisoft’s Assasin’s Creed 2; From Software’s Kuon, Sony Computer Entertainment’s Key of Heaven & Busouden, Nintendo Japan’s Super Mario Superstar, Astro Stadium’s Euro 2008 and Beijing Olympic 2008 TV commercial and Beijing HS Media’s company opening animation.

In the year 2005, Studio Climb was commissioned by Malaysia-based Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to be the pre-production studio for a 3D animated movie trailer, “Saladin” as well as an international collaborative project with China to plan for the pre-production art development for “The Swordedge”.

At the 2008 Studio Climb was appointed as the Creative Director and Assistant Director for a 3D animated feature film GOLIATH, a collaborative achievement with creative teams from TRIPOD Entertainment (Malaysia), Imaginex (Malaysia), Sun Min Image Pictures (Korea) and Epoch Ink (US). The film made its debut on the big screens in North America on March 2014. It was also released in Blu-ray and DVD in the US and has won the 'Best 3D Animated Feature Film' at the Los Angeles 3D Film Festival. The animated feature film also bagged two awards: 2D Animation and Sound Design at the Asia Image Apollo Awards in Singapore.

The “Buddha Project” directed by Spencer Ooi, (founder of Studio Climb) is project collaboration between production team from Malaysia, Singapore and Beijing. Studio Climb’s involvement includes concept & design, script writing, directing, storyboarding, 2-D animatic, layout, art direction, production pipeline supervision and quality control. The completed animation was screened during the official opening of Buddha Memorial Centre (Taiwan) in Dec 2011.

In 2013, TRANS PICTURES, a China-incorporated company was established by STUDIO CLIMB to partner with a China media industry; focusing on developing, producing and commercializing animation and live action movie project. Apart from that, TRANSPICTURES owns as well as co-owns its titles IP; produce titles for specific third parties and collaborate with international marketing and merchandising companies with the aim to increase its IP commercial value.
