About the role

Vertical Institute is looking for a Marketing Intern with a strong interest in video production, content creation, and organic social media marketing.

You will help create short-form video and social media content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. You will be involved in the full content creation process, from content ideation and filming to video editing, publishing, and performance tracking.

This is a hands-on internship for someone who enjoys creating content, following social media trends, and experimenting with different formats to engage audiences.

What you will do

Video Production & Content Creation

• Create short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Assist with video planning, filming, editing, and post-production.
• Develop creative concepts and content ideas based on audience interests and social media trends.
• Create social media assets including videos, graphics, captions, and other organic content.
• Repurpose existing content into different formats for different social media platforms.
• Assist with content shoots and other marketing content projects.

Social Media Management

• Assist in developing and maintaining the organic social media content calendar.
• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms.
• Stay updated on social media trends, formats, sounds, features, and content styles.
• Adapt content ideas to suit different platforms and audiences.
• Ensure published content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines.

Content Performance

• Monitor basic social media and content performance metrics.
• Track engagement, views, reach, and other relevant content metrics.
• Identify content trends and opportunities to improve engagement.
• Support the team in testing different content formats and creative approaches.

Marketing Support

• Support other marketing and content initiatives when required.
• Work with the marketing team on campaigns, events, and promotional activities.
• Assist with organising and maintaining content files and marketing assets.

Requirements

• Strong interest in video production, content creation, and social media marketing.
• Comfortable with filming and editing short-form videos.
• Familiarity with video editing and design tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Creative mindset with the ability to turn ideas into engaging content.
• Good understanding of current social media trends and content formats.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organised, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Portfolio or examples of previous video, content, or social media work are an advantage.
