Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Freelance Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to support our managed properties. :
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Monthly Inspection

  • Attend the assigned building once per month to conduct the required fire safety inspection.
  • Identify fire safety hazards and recommend/coordinate necessary rectification works.

Fire Drill & Tabletop Exercise

  • Arrange and coordinate Fire Drill and Tabletop Exercise once every 6 months for the assigned building. Ensure the required documentation and reports are properly prepared and maintained.

Fire Certificate

  • Monitor the validity of the building's Fire Certificate and coordinate the renewal process when required. Ensure relevant fire safety documentation remains valid and up to date.

Emergency Point of Contact

  • Act as the first point of contact for fire-related emergencies at the assigned building. Provide guidance and coordinate with the relevant parties during fire-related incidents when required.

Monthly FSM Report

  • Prepare and submit the FSM Monthly Inspection Report for the assigned building. Reports are to be submitted before and after each month-end, as required by Management.

Emergency Contact Number

  • Provide one emergency contact number for the assigned building. Be contactable for urgent fire safety matters or emergencies relating to the assigned location.

Other FSM Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with SCDF fire safety requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular checks on fire safety equipment, systems and escape routes.
  • Follow up with contractors/vendors on rectification of fire safety defects.
  • Maintain proper fire safety records, inspection reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Managing Agent, MCST, Building Management and relevant contractors on fire safety matters.
  • Attend to SCDF inspections and fire safety-related matters when required.
  • Review and update the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) where necessary.
  • Provide recommendations to Management on fire safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Perform other fire safety-related duties as required.

    Requirements

    Valid Fire Safety Manager (FSM) Certificate recognised by SCDF.
  • Relevant experience in managing fire safety matters for residential/commercial properties.
  • Good knowledge of SCDF fire safety requirements.
  • Able to work independently and manage assigned buildings.
  • Freelance / part-time FSM candidates are welcome.
