Scope of Work – POS Engage One & Peripheral Setup

Objective:

Provide onsite IT support for the installation, configuration, connectivity, and validation of the HP Engage One POS system and associated peripherals.

Scope of Activities:

• POS Hardware SetupUnpack and inspect the HP Engage One POS system and supplied components.
• Position and physically install the POS terminal at the designated location.
• Connect power, network, and other required cables.
• Verify that the POS terminal powers on and operates correctly.
• POS Peripheral InstallationInstall and connect supported POS peripherals, such as:
• Receipt printer
• Barcode scanner
• Cash drawer
• Customer-facing display
• Card/payment terminal, where applicable
• Keyboard, mouse, and other accessories
• Ensure proper cable management and secure connections.
• Software & Configuration SupportAssist with basic OS/device configuration as required.
• Install or configure approved device drivers for POS peripherals.
• Configure network connectivity, including Ethernet/Wi-Fi where applicable.
• Verify that connected peripherals are detected and functioning.
• Testing & ValidationPerform power-on and connectivity checks.
• Test receipt printing, barcode scanning, cash drawer operation, and other connected peripherals.
• Validate communication between the POS terminal and peripherals.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for any hardware or connectivity issues identified during setup.
• Handover & DocumentationConfirm the POS system and peripherals are operational.
• Record installed equipment and any relevant asset information.
• Capture photos of the completed installation if required.
• Obtain customer/site representative sign-off upon completion.
