The Role

We are seeking a Creative Designer with approximately 2 years of professional experience, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and demonstrated fluency in AI-powered creative tools. This role centres on advertising and content creative — including static, video, and animated assets for digital campaigns. You will own the creative process end-to-end, from concept development through final execution, across a range of formats and platforms.

This is a flexible engagement offered on a freelance or part-time basis, well suited to a designer seeking project-based or retainer work rather than a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Concept & Execution (Advertising)

• Conceptualization: Ideate and develop compelling, original, and on-brand creative concepts for digital advertising campaigns (e.g., social media ads, display banners, animated graphics).
• Design Production: Create high-quality visual assets, including static designs, short-form videos/animations, and interactive creatives, ensuring they meet platform specifications and performance goals.
• Adaptation: Confidently adapt core creative ideas into various formats and sizes for A/B testing and diverse placements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and content teams to ensure creative aligns with campaign strategy and messaging.

AI-Powered Creative Workflows

•        Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (e.g. Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, ChatGPT/Claude for ideation) as part of your regular workflow.

•        Apply strong prompt engineering skills to get consistent, on-brand outputs from generative tools.

•        Blend AI-generated elements with traditional design work, editing and finishing AI output to a polished, publish-ready standard.

•        Stay current on new AI design/creative tools and suggest ways to fold them into the team's workflow.

UI/UX Design (Web)

• User Interface (UI) Design: Design intuitive, visually appealing, and high-converting user interfaces for websites and landing pages, adhering to modern design principles.
• User Experience (UX) Knowledge: Apply a basic understanding of UX principles (user flows, wireframing, usability testing concepts) to ensure designs are user-friendly and optimize the customer journey.
• Prototyping: Develop mockups and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and functionality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Approximately 2 years of professional experience in a design role, preferably within an agency or a fast-paced in-house team.
• Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing both advertising creative (digital ads) and UI/UX design (websites/apps).
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro/After Effects, and/or Figma/Sketch).
• Digital Acumen: Excellent understanding of current digital advertising trends, social media platforms, and design best practices.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and receive constructive feedback.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to design with a keen eye for typography, colour, layout, and brand consistency.
