JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Intern to support our Finance and Accounts team in daily financial administration and accounting activities.
The intern will gain practical exposure to accounting operations, financial documentation, data entry, reconciliation, payment processing, reporting, and general finance administration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Accounts Payable
- Assist in checking supplier invoices, bills, receipts, and payment documents.
- Assist in recording and organising accounts payable transactions.
- Verify invoices against supporting documents and approvals.
- Assist in preparing payment documentation.
- Maintain proper records of supplier invoices and payment status.
- Follow up on outstanding documents where required.
2. Accounts Receivable
- Assist in recording daily sales and collection transactions.
- Assist in monitoring outstanding payments and receivables.
- Check payment records against invoices, receipts, and bank transactions.
- Assist with customer payment documentation and filing.
3. Data Entry & Accounting Records
- Enter financial transactions accurately into the company's accounting system or spreadsheets.
- Maintain and update financial records.
- Ensure documents are properly categorised and organised.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records for audit and management purposes.
4. Bank & Payment Reconciliation
- Assist in matching bank transactions with company records.
- Identify discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
- Assist in preparing basic bank reconciliation.
- Highlight unusual or missing transactions to the Finance team.
5. Daily Sales & Cash Monitoring
- Assist in checking daily sales reports.
- Compare sales records with cash, online banking, card, QR and other payment channels.
- Assist in identifying discrepancies and reporting them to the relevant person.
- Maintain proper supporting documents for daily transactions.
6. Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing basic weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Compile financial data for management reporting.
- Assist in preparing expense summaries, sales summaries and payment reports.
- Assist in maintaining finance-related dashboards and tracking sheets.
7. Expense & Petty Cash Administration
- Assist in recording staff and operational expenses.
- Check supporting receipts and documentation.
- Assist in monitoring petty cash transactions.
- Maintain proper documentation for reimbursements and expenses.
8. Document Control & Filing
- Organise invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, bank documents and other financial records.
- Maintain both physical and digital accounting files.
- Ensure documents are filed according to the company's filing system.
- Assist in preparing documents required for internal review or audit.
9. Finance Administration
- Assist the Finance / Accounts team with general administrative tasks.
- Prepare spreadsheets and financial data when required.
- Assist with document verification and data checking.
- Support other departments in obtaining required financial documentation.
10. Basic Financial Analysis
- Assist in analysing sales, expenses and operational costs.
- Identify unusual increases or decreases in expenses.
- Prepare simple comparisons between actual expenses and budgets.
- Assist management in compiling financial information for decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Able to commit to the required internship period.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organised and able to manage documents systematically.
- Willing to learn and take instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, punctual and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Previous accounting experience is an advantage but not compulsory.

Pay: RM600.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
