LEGAL INTERN
Job Summary
Ikhtiar Factoring Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Legal Intern to assist the Legal Executive with the Company’s day-to-day legal and compliance matters.
The Legal Intern will gain practical exposure to in-house legal work within a corporate and financial services environment, including legal research, preparation and review of legal documents, contract administration, regulatory compliance, and general legal support.
This internship provides an opportunity to develop practical legal skills and gain an understanding of how legal functions support the Company’s business operations and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Legal Executive in conducting legal research on relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, and legal issues affecting the Company.
- Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and preparation of legal documents, agreements, letters, notices, and other correspondence.
- Support the Legal Executive in reviewing, maintaining, and managing contracts and commercial agreements.
- Assist with corporate and regulatory compliance matters and monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments.
- Assist in maintaining and organising legal files, records, agreements, and documentation.
- Support the Legal Executive in preparing documents and information required for internal meetings, legal matters, and business activities.
- Assist with basic legal and contractual due diligence when required.
- Assist in liaising with relevant internal departments and, where appropriate, external parties on legal documentation and administrative matters.
- Assist with tracking legal matters, deadlines, contract renewals, and contractual obligations.
- Provide general legal, administrative, and research support to the Legal Executive as required.
- Perform other legal-related duties and assignments as may be reasonably assigned by the Legal Executive.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or an equivalent legal qualification.
- Strong interest in corporate, financial, and in-house legal practice.
- Good legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to new tasks.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.

Pay: RM800.00 per month
