Role Description The Datacenter Technician Dispatch project, on-site position based in Singapore. The Datacenter Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and organizing server and network hardware, including cabling and equipment racks. Daily tasks include monitoring data center operations, performing routine inspections, identifying and resolving hardware and connectivity issues, and documenting all activities in accordance with company procedures. The role also involves collaborating with remote support teams, following strict security and safety protocols, and ensuring high availability and reliability of critical systems. The technician is expected to respond promptly to incidents, support scheduled maintenance windows, and contribute to continuous improvement of data center processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Cable Management and Cabling to ensure neat, efficient, and reliable physical infrastructure.
• Candidates should possess skills in Structured Cabling to support standardized, scalable data center environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Data Center Operations to manage daily monitoring, maintenance, and incident response activities.
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Understanding of server, storage, and network hardware fundamentals, including rack installation and equipment labeling.
• Ability to follow technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines in a controlled environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a distributed team.
• Relevant technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) or comparable practical experience in data center or IT support.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to support maintenance and critical incidents.
