Job Descriptions:

1. Establish K2W2 Engineering Drawing Database – MAIN PRIORITY

a) Develop and progressively establish Engineering Drawings for:

• a) Spare Parts
• b) Facility & Utility Equipment
• c) Dipping & Compounding Equipment
• d) Plant Equipment
• e) P&ID Diagrams
• f) Schematic Diagrams
• g) Equipment / piping layouts
• h) Other engineering drawings required by PEM Department

b) Conduct actual equipment and spare-part dimensional measurements at the plant.

c) Convert engineering measurements, sketches and existing references into standardised SolidWorks / CAD drawings.

e) Organise and maintain engineering drawings systematically to establish a reliable K2W2 Engineering Drawing Database for future engineering and maintenance reference.

f) Assist PEM Department in progressively closing existing gaps in the plant's engineering drawing documentation.

2. Engineering Drawing & Project Support

a) Assist the PEM Project Team in preparing Engineering Drawings, CAD Drawings and Engineering Sketches whenever project or plant modification enquiries are received from Production Plant FM / SFM. (Upon Approved by Operation GM)

b) Support the preparation and revision of engineering drawings throughout the project development and execution stages.

c) Assist in site verification and measurement to ensure drawings accurately reflect actual plant conditions.

3. Project Planning & Coordination Support

a) Assist in coordinating with Production Plants regarding project execution periods, project schedules and Gantt Chart requirements.

b) Support PEM Project HOD in maintaining daily and monthly project schedules / planning to facilitate smooth project execution.

c) Assist in tracking project milestones and outstanding engineering deliverables in accordance with agreed project timelines and overall Company direction, subject to Operation GM approval.

4. Bill of Material (BOM) Preparation

a) Prepare and update Bill of Material (BOM) lists for Plant Modification and Major Maintenance Projects requested by Production Plants.

b) Assist the PEM Project Team in identifying required equipment, components, spare parts, materials and quantities based on engineering drawings and project requirements.

c) Cross-check BOM information against actual site conditions and engineering drawings where required.

5. Daily Engineering & Project Team Support

a) Liaise closely with PEM Project Team Supervisors / Executives on daily engineering drawing, measurement, documentation and project support requirements.

b) Assist in updating project documentation and engineering records.

c)Support other engineering drawing, CAD and technical documentation activities assigned by PEM Project HOD / Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.

2. Familiarity with SolidWorks / CAD Drawing, preferably with intermediate-level exposure obtained during Diploma / Degree studies.

3. Able to perform basic engineering measurement and dimensional inspection using practical engineering tools such as:

• Vernier Caliper
• Measuring Tape
• Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge
• Micrometer / other measuring instruments
• Other relevant engineering measurement tools

4. Able to interpret engineering measurements and translate actual equipment / spare parts dimensions into accurate CAD engineering drawings.

5. Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plant Equipment, Piping or Engineering Systems will be an added advantage.

6. Familiarity with basic engineering drawings, mechanical components, piping systems, equipment layouts, P&ID or schematic diagrams will be an added advantage.

7. Demonstrates a systematic, analytical and positive problem-solving approach, with the ability to identify issues and propose practical improvement opportunities.

8. Proactive, willing to learn and able to follow through assigned engineering improvement tasks until completion.

9. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively with Production, PEM, Project, Process Improvement and cross-functional teams, including Managers and Senior Management when required.

10. Good working discipline, attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate engineering drawings and documentation, particularly where drawing accuracy is critical for equipment maintenance and project execution.
