Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Overview

Glyph Community is a Singapore-registered IPC charity dedicated to supporting children from lower-income or vulnerable households, aged 5 to 12, through holistic weekend enrichment programs. Beyond fostering social, emotional, and intellectual growth through structured activities like arts, STEM, life skills, and wellness initiatives, Glyph Community now also focuses on uplifting the living standards of the families we serve.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for people who love being out there, meeting people, and making things happen. You’ll be calling families to bring new kids into our programs, running activities face-to-face, and being the person children look forward to seeing every week. You need to be outgoing, comfortable talking to strangers, and ready to take charge without someone holding your hand. If you genuinely enjoy working with kids and have the energy to keep up with them, you’ll do well here. If phone calls make you freeze, or if spending a few hours with children sounds draining, this isn’t the job for you.

Roles & Responsibilities

Recruiting new beneficiaries (community visits, calls)

Engaging beneficiaries (paid activities, registration renewals)

Activity Facilitator on days with activities

Preparing and executing activities

Cleaning up the centre & organising inventory

Student administration & customer service (managing attendance and post-activity feedback sheets, answering queries, resolving complaints)

Managing volunteers during activities (giving instructions, briefing & debriefing)

Requirements

Passionate about the education and social work industry

Comfortable speaking to families via calls and Whatsapp

Workdays are Wednesday - Sunday 9:30am - 6:30pm, Off on Monday – Tuesday

Saturday - Sunday: Teaching duty at Boon Lay / Marsiling

NYC YCCI Cycle 15: September 2026 - February 2027

Beyond fostering social, emotional, and intellectual growth through structured activities like arts, STEM, life skills, and wellness initiatives, Glyph Community now also focuses on uplifting the living standards of the families we serve.

Through targeted interventions, such as providing essential household items, furniture, and appliances, we aim to create a stable and nurturing home environment, which is critical to children’s development and well-being. By addressing both educational enrichment and home stability, Glyph Community empowers children to thrive and families to build a foundation for long-term resilience.

Founded in 2017, Glyph Community operates centers in Marsiling and Boon Lay, serving over 2,000 children across Singapore. We are recognized as an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and a full member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), enabling donors and partners to contribute with confidence. Our integrated approach positions Glyph Community as a pioneering charity bridging educational support with tangible family welfare, making measurable impact on both children’s growth and household well-being.
