Job Purpose

The IT Intern will support data preparation and digitisation activities for the Curriculum Management System (CMS) Project. The role will primarily assist in preparing student examination data for migration into digital format to support the successful implementation of Phase 1 of the CMS Project in 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the conversion and transfer of student examination data from existing records into the required digital format.
• Perform data entry, data cleansing and basic data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Organise and maintain digital files, folders and supporting documentation in accordance with established naming and filing conventions.
• Check migrated data against source documents and highlight discrepancies or incomplete information for further review.
• Support the preparation and consolidation of data required for the Curriculum Management System Project.
• Assist the project and technical teams with other data preparation and administrative tasks related to system implementation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling student examination records and other sensitive information.
• Comply with applicable data protection, information security and university policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Comfortable working with large volumes of data and performing repetitive data-processing activities accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Pay: RM1,200.00 per month
