The Investment Product Specialist role sits withinCapital Group’s Asset Class Services capability. The Investment ProductSpecialist partners with Investment Directors to deliver deep expertise onCapital Group’s investment strategies. Collectively they are the voice ofCapital Group’s investment capabilities. The Investment Product Specialist andInvestment Director teams are two sides of the same coin: the InvestmentDirectors are focused on being the external voice; the Investment ProductSpecialist is focused on internal partners and stakeholders. The InvestmentProduct Specialist also plays an important role in thinking strategically aboutthe growth and evolution of the fixed income business, partnering closely withthe Client Group to unlock growth opportunities.

The Investment Product Specialist will provide subjectmatter expertise for designated fixed income strategies. The individual will beexpected to build a deep understanding of Capital Group’s fixed incomecapabilities, investment philosophy, approach and process, and be able tosynthesise highly technical investment information to enable the Client Groupto speak credibly around the firm’s fixed income platform. They will partnerwith other members of the Asset Class Services team to generate deep andimpactful investment insights for a range of client and marketing activities.

• Partners with Investment Directors and the investment team to represent Capital Group’s fixed income capabilities across client activities
• Acts as a subject matter expert for designated fixed income strategies, with a primary focus on engaging with internal stakeholders such as client-facing teams, may also participate in external client engagements
• Contributes to the development of investment narratives, product messaging and thought leadership by preparing analysis, drafting content and adapting materials for regional and client segment needs
• Ensures timely and appropriate investment content to support Investment Directors and the Client Group across meetings, campaigns, product updates and other client engagement activities
• Contributes to product advocacy efforts, engaging with the Client Group in supporting sales strategy and distribution approach
• Manages market and competitor analysis to support product positioning, identify key differentiators and inform client-ready messaging
• Supports fixed income business initiatives, including product development and strategic projects
• Builds effective working relationships across Capital Group’s Europe, Asia and North American businesses by being responsive, collaborative and focused on delivering high-quality partnership

“I am the person Capital Group is looking for”

• Ideally at least 5 years within the asset management industry, with exposure to an investment team environment and/or as an investment/product specialist delivering subject-matter expertise and investment insights
• You have a robust understanding of fixed income markets and a range of fixed income strategies
• You demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with a variety of internal and external audiences, with experience in distilling technical investment concepts into clear, concise and practical messaging
• You are comfortable using fixed income portfolio management tools, front-office systems and market platforms such as Bloomberg to gather information and support analysis
• You are organised, detail-oriented and committed to producing accurate investment insights and content in a responsive and timely manner
• You demonstrate intellectual curiosity, analytical discipline and a practical problem-solving mindset
• You are proactive and self-motivated, able to take ownership while seeking input and guidance where appropriate
• You are collaborative and comfortable working with multiple teams across different regions to support delivery of shared outcomes
