Top Public-Listed Energy Company is Hiring an Accounts Executive, GL (Based in Kuala Lumpur)

Your new role

• Performing the full spectrum of GL functions to maintain the full set of accounts
  
• Accountable for performing monthly closing of accounts and variance analysis
  
• Preparation of annual audited accounts
  
• Preparation of tax and deferred tax computation
  
• Preparation of the yearly budget and forecast and perform financial analysis for management review
  
• Accountable for updating of fixed asset register
  
• Ensure completeness of accruals, provisions and prepayments
  
• Estimate forecast profitability for the purpose of estimating interim tax payments
  
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and bankers
  
• Review of tender costing and commercial proposals
  
• Liaise with the Operations Team on project status and review project costing to ensure revenue recognition in accordance with approved accounting standards
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/ finance
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICAEW are highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience with at least 1 year in audit
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Good planning / organisational skills and being able to multitask
• Ability to work in a team and in a multifunctional and multicultural environment
• Independent and self-discipline
• Good attitude and fast learner
• Good command of English, both written and oral communication skills
