Role Description The General Physician will provide remote, part-time clinical care, including comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions for patients across various age groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as needed. The role involves conducting virtual consultations, documenting encounters in electronic health records, and following established clinical guidelines and protocols. The General Physician will also offer health education to patients, participate in case discussions, and support continuous quality improvement in clinical practice.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of general health conditions.
- Experience or training in Family Medicine, focusing on preventive care and long-term patient management.
- Understanding of Nursing practices and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Ability to provide Training or mentorship to clinical staff and contribute to professional development initiatives.
- Valid medical degree (MD or DO) and current, unrestricted license to practice as a physician in relevant jurisdiction(s).
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a closely related specialty is preferred.
- Proficiency with telemedicine platforms, electronic health records, and remote patient communication tools.
- Strong diagnostic, decision-making, and communication skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
