Job Description

• Maintain the school’s green spaces, urban farm, grow towers and hydroponics system.
• Carry out watering, pruning, fertilizing, weeding, trimming and mulching.
• Monitor plant health and manage pest and fungal issues using appropriate treatments.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform minor repairs where required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize gardening equipment and supplies.
• Support Environmental Club CCA activities and guide students during practical sessions.
• Assist with Primary 4 & 5 Urban Farming and Hydroponics Project Work.
• Prepare materials and equipment for student activities.
• Monitor seed germination, transplanting and harvesting of vegetables.
• Check and maintain the hydroponics system, including water, nutrients and temperature.
• Perform other related gardening and urban farming duties as required.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills in gardening, horticulture and plant maintenance.
• Experience in trimming, pruning, irrigation and soil management.
• Knowledge of safe handling and application of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers.
• Experience in plant propagation, cultivation and maintenance of fruits and vegetables.
• Basic knowledge of hydroponic systems and troubleshooting.
• Prior school gardening, horticulture or urban farming experience is an advantage.
• Experience working with children or in an educational environment is preferred
