Hipster Inc. is a Singapore-headquartered product development studio that designs, builds, and scales digital products for startups, SMEs, and enterprises.

We have delivered 100+ projects across aviation, healthcare, education, retail, travel, and enterprise services, spanning AI solutions, web and mobile applications, software platforms, cloud systems, and custom integrations. Our team comprises 40+ people based in Singapore and remotely.

Voncierge, developed by Hipster, is our flagship AI-powered customer service platform. Combining conversational AI, video telephony, multilingual support, automation, and human escalation, Voncierge helps organisations such as airports, malls, healthcare providers, government services, and commercial buildings deliver more scalable customer support.

Our clients include Singapore Changi Airport, Jewel Changi Airport, Cushman & Wakefield Services, JTC Corporation, Workforce Singapore, and more. We are currently expanding internationally, with a particular focus on the United States, Malaysia, and Southeast Asia.

We are looking for a driven and resourceful Business Development Intern interested in business, Al, technology, and international growth.

You will work on real client opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives across Hipster and Voncierge - from identifying prospects and developing outreach strategies to joining client meetings and preparing proposals.

You do not need a technical background. We care more about your ability to take ownership, communicate well, learn quickly, and get things done. High-performing interns may also have the opportunity to convert into a full-time role.

What You'll Do

• Research and identify potential customers, partners, industries, and new business opportunities.
• Support our expansion into the US, Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and other international markets.
• Develop and execute outreach strategies through email, LinkedIn, networking, and other channels.
• Engage prospects and support opportunities from initial outreach through meetings, demos, proposals, and follow-ups.
• Understand client challenges and identify how Hipster or Voncierge can help increase revenue, reduce costs, improve customer experience, or increase operational efficiency.
• Prepare pitch decks, proposals, case studies, and customised sales materials.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Work with product, marketing, project management, and technical teams to shape potential solutions.
• Maintain the sales pipeline and track outreach and conversion metrics.
• Attend relevant client meetings, networking events, and industry engagements.

Who We're Looking For

• Strong interest in business development, sales, startups, Al, software, or technology.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Confident approaching new people and communicating with business stakeholders.
• Able to research unfamiliar industries and identify commercial opportunities.
• Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership.
• Organised and disciplined with follow-ups.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Curious, commercially minded, and willing to experiment with new approaches.
• Able to commit for a minimum of 5 months.
• Previous experience in sales, marketing, business development, or technology is a plus, but not required.
