About Us

Café Leitz by GLAZE is a specialty coffee and tea bar located within Leica Store South Beach Quarter. We bring together handcrafted pastries, thoughtful hospitality and a creative community, with care and attention to detail at the heart of everything we make.

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable pastry chef who enjoys baking and takes pride in beautifully assembled cakes.

This is a boutique baking role within our café, focused on individual cake orders and small batches of café favourites in a welcoming, intimate workspace.

You’ll take responsibility for preparing cake orders and baking seasonal specials and regular offerings for the café, working independently after initial training, with regular quality checks from our Founder and Chef-Owner.

What You’ll Do

• Bake cake sponges, brownies and seasonal specials.

• Prepare cake creams, curds, ganaches and other fillings according to our recipes.

• Assemble, fill and finish cakes with precision and care.

• Follow our recipes and maintain consistent quality.

• Organise your baking schedule to ensure orders are ready on time.

• Keep the baking workspace clean and organised.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

• Has previous pastry experience, particularly in cake assembly and finishing.

• Has the skill and finesse to create neat, beautifully presented cakes.

• Is confident following recipes and working independently.

• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and keeps their workspace neat and well organised.

• Is reliable and brings a positive attitude to a small team.

What We Offer

• Flexible morning shifts of approximately 4 hours.

• A schedule of 3–4 days per week, agreed together based on cake orders and your availability. Daily attendance is not required.

• Hourly rate: S$14–S$16 per hour, commensurate with experience.

• Initial training in our recipes and standards.

• A supportive, creative environment where craftsmanship matters.
