Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic AI & Coding Instructor to teach and inspire students across different age groups through hands-on learning in programming, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. The instructor will deliver practical and interactive lessons and workshops in coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, and computational thinking, adapting the content and teaching approach to different levels of experience. The role aims to help learners build confidence in using technology, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop practical capabilities in programming and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in coding, artificial intelligence, data science, and related technologies.
- Teach programming concepts using age-appropriate tools and languages such as Python, Scratch, ScratchJr, MakeCode, and other block-based or text-based programming platforms.
- Introduce students to key AI concepts, including machine learning, generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and AI applications.
- Guide students through hands-on coding exercises, projects, experiments, and problem-solving activities.
- Conduct hands-on activities using educational hardware and robotics platforms such as micro:bit, LEGO robotics, sensors, and other STEM kits.
- Develop and continuously improve lesson plans, teaching materials, exercises, assessments, and project-based learning activities.
- Adapt teaching approaches according to students' age, ability, learning progress, and prior programming experience.
- Support students in debugging code, understanding technical concepts, and developing independent problem-solving skills.
- Encourage students to use AI tools effectively and responsibly while developing an understanding of AI limitations, ethics, safety, and responsible use.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and, where appropriate, parents.
- Stay current with developments in AI, programming tools, and educational technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into the curriculum.
- Participate in curriculum development, workshops, coding camps, competitions, demonstrations, and other educational activities where required.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Education, or a related discipline.
- Good programming knowledge and familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and modern generative AI tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple and engaging ways.
- Passion for teaching and working with students, patient, approachable, responsible, and comfortable managing a classroom or small-group learning environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to continuously learn new technologies.
- Experience teaching coding, AI, robotics, STEM, mathematics, or related subjects.
- Familiar with tools and technologies such as Scratch, Python, Jupyter Notebook, APIs, ChatGPT or other LLM platforms, machine learning libraries, or robotics platforms.
- MOE-registered instructor is an advantage.

Pay: $50.00 - $200.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Singapore
