Job Description

Benjamin Maths is looking for a committed and responsible Primary / PSLE Mathematics Teacher to join our tuition centre.

The teacher will be responsible for conducting small-group lessons, preparing students for school examinations and PSLE, and helping students build strong problem-solving skills and confidence in Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Primary Mathematics lessons for small groups of students.

• Teach problem-solving techniques, heuristics, model drawing, exam skills and time-management strategies.

• Prepare students for school assessments, weighted assessments, prelims and PSLE.

• Mark students’ work and provide clear feedback on mistakes and areas for improvement.

• Monitor students’ progress and identify learning gaps.

• Communicate professionally with parents on students’ progress where required.

• Prepare, review or customise worksheets, practice papers and lesson materials where necessary.

• Maintain a positive, structured and disciplined classroom environment.

• Work closely with the centre’s management and teaching team to ensure lesson quality.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Primary Mathematics and PSLE problem-solving methods.

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Primary Mathematics syllabus will be an advantage.

• Able to explain concepts clearly and patiently to students.

• Responsible, punctual, organised and committed to students’ progress.

• Able to manage small-group classroom dynamics.

• Good communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.

• Candidates with NIE / MOE teaching experience, tuition centre experience, or strong academic background in Mathematics are welcome to apply.

Working Arrangement

• Full-time / part-time positions available.

• Weekday evening and weekend availability will be required.

• Training and teaching materials will be provided.

• Location: Bukit Timah, Kovan, Tiong Bahru.

This role is suitable for experienced tuition teachers, ex-MOE teachers, NIE-trained teachers, graduates with strong Mathematics ability, or candidates who are passionate about teaching Primary Mathematics.
