Practical Trainee (Internship - Based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor)
Job Purpose
The Practical Trainee/Intern is responsible to provide operational and administrative support to the One Stop Centre (OSC) team in managing customer enquiries, property handover and Vacant Possession (VP) activities, defects-related documentation and day-to-day office operations. The role supports continuity of customer service during peak handover periods while gaining practical exposure to property handover, customer service and post-handover operations within the property development environment.
Job Accountabilities
- Support the day-to-day operations of the One Stop Centre (OSC), including attending to walk-in customers, incoming calls and general enquiries, with appropriate guidance and escalation to the OSC team.
- Assist the team in preparing for Vacant Possession (VP) and property handover activities, including preparation and organisation of handover materials, documents and other required items.
- Provide administrative and operational support during peak VP periods to ensure the OSC office remains operationalwhile team members are deployed at project sites.
- Assist in recording, compiling and updating customer enquiries, handover information, defects-related records and other relevant information for monitoring and follow-up by the OSC team.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of reports, trackers, customer records, filing, correspondence and other OSC documentation.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing documents or information required for customer handover, defects inspection, existing VP and post-DLP activities, where applicable.
- Support the team in monitoring and following up on outstanding administrative or customer-related matters, with complex or sensitive matters referred to the responsible OSC team member.
- Use relevant systems, software and digital tools required for customer records, documentation, tracking and reporting purposes.
- Work collaboratively with the OSC team and relevant internal stakeholders while maintaining appropriate confidentiality, professionalism and integrity when handling customer and company information.
- Undertake other assignments or projects as required to gain practical exposure to customer service, property handover, defects management and OSC operations.
Minimum Essential Qualifications & Technical Competencies
- Formal Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture, construction/project management, building services, property development/real estate management, planning, or other related disciplines.
- Work Experience
- No minimum working experience required for this internship placement.
- Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in documentation, monitoring and follow-up.
- Able and willing to participate in site-based activities, inspections and project coordination, where required.
- Able to work collaboratively within a project team and manage assigned tasks responsibly.
- Demonstrates initiative, willingness to learn and adaptability in handling different project activities and challenges.
