Build the Workforce Behind the Business
Ever wondered how companies decide
how many people to hire, where to deploy talent, and how to plan for future growth
?
Join our HR team and gain hands-on experience in
workforce planning, people analytics, and organisational strategy
. This is not your typical HR internship. You'll work on real business challenges, analyse workforce data, and help leaders make decisions on manpower needs across the organisation.
If you enjoy working with data, solving problems, and understanding how businesses operate, this internship is for you.
What You'll Be Doing
Workforce Planning
Support manpower planning and headcount tracking across business units.
Monitor vacancies, hiring needs, and workforce movements.
Assist in maintaining establishment structures and approved manpower levels.
People Analytics
Analyse workforce data and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
Support workforce forecasting and budgeting exercises.
Business & Organisation Insights
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand manpower requirements.
Participate in organisational development and workforce optimisation projects.
Gain exposure to how HR supports business growth and transformation.
Project Work
Support HR transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Contribute fresh ideas to enhance workforce planning and HR operations.
Assist with other HR and people-related projects as assigned.
Bonus Points If You Have
Knowledge of workforce planning or manpower planning concepts
Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or data visualisation tools
Interest in HR Analytics, Organisational Development, or HR Business Partnering

Hong Leong Asia Ltd.’s Building Materials unit (BMU) is one of the largest suppliers of essential building materials to the construction industry of Singapore. BMU sells all grades of ready-mixed concrete out of seven separate locations in Singapore. It is also the largest producer of precast concrete elements for public housing construction, all of which are fabricated in its factories in Singapore and Senai, Malaysia.
BMU imports and distributes cement in Singapore and also operates a granite quarry in Johor, Malaysia. BMU is reputable for the quality of its products, and for the reliability in its deliveries. The proof of this can be seen in the many buildings and infrastructure
