Responsibilities

Numbers shape places, and if you enjoy tidy ledgers and watching a site move from plan to handover, this role is for you. Working with us at Garden World Development Sdn Bhd means joining a close property team that delivers small to medium scale developments across Malaysia, where clear finance controls keep projects on track. We focus on practical finance work that helps site teams, suppliers and office staff coordinate smoothly.

This is a builder role: you will tighten month-end routines, design project-friendly reports, and help scale our finance operations as we take on more developments. You will manage daily bookkeeping, supplier and contractor payments, and project cost tracking while improving processes for faster, cleaner closes. Success looks like fewer reconciliation issues, on-time supplier payments, and concise reports that make cashflow choices easy for project managers.

Your Growth & Impact

  • Develop stronger accounting routines by owning month-end close, ledger reconciliations, and timely financial submissions that reduce errors and speed decision cycles. You will document improved close checklists and cut recurring adjustments.
  • Expand your project finance experience by preparing detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and short-term cash forecasts that influence construction planning and budget control. Those reports will be used by site teams to prioritise spending and manage supplier claims.
  • Build practical technical skills using MYOB, Xero, or similar systems and advanced Excel for automation, pivoted reporting, and reconciliations that save time. You will also help configure the accounting package to standardise entries across projects.
  • Gain cross-functional exposure by working closely with project managers, suppliers, and senior leaders on billing, payment sequencing, and cashflow planning. This role offers daily interactions with site accountants and procurement to keep payments aligned to progress.
  • Connect with a compact team that values hands-on improvements, mentorship, and visible contributions so you grow into wider finance responsibilities. Our small team means your recommendations are noticed and acted on quickly, giving you real ownership.
