We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Computing Teacher to join our Abedeen International School and teach secondary-level students.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Cambridge Computing/Computer Science, programming, computational thinking, and digital technologies. Candidates must have previous experience teaching in a Cambridge or international school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Computing / Computer Science lessons for secondary students.
• Teach according to the Cambridge curriculum and examination requirements.
• Teach programming concepts, coding, algorithms, problem-solving, and computational thinking.
• Cover key areas such as computer systems, networks, databases, cybersecurity, data representation, and programming.
• Provide practical coding activities and project-based learning.
• Prepare students for Cambridge assessments and examinations.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and revision activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Participate in school programmes, academic activities, and professional development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Programming, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of Computing/Computer Science teaching experience, preferably at secondary level.
• Previous Cambridge curriculum teaching experience is required.
• International school teaching experience is highly preferred.
• Strong background in programming and coding, with knowledge of languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of algorithms, databases, networking, computer systems, and cybersecurity.
• Experience preparing students for Cambridge examinations is highly preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to join in September 2026.

Preference will be given to candidates with strong programming skills and proven experience teaching Cambridge Computing or Computer Science at secondary level.
