The role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Curriculum & Learning Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a curriculum development specialist who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences, partnering with subject matter experts, and contributing to meaningful outcomes in the healthcare and community care sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Course Development
- Conduct learning needs analysis and apply instructional design principles to develop curriculum, assessments, and courseware aligned with national competency frameworks and adult learning principles.
- Design engaging learning experiences for classroom, virtual, blended, and digital learning environments.
- Develop and update facilitator guides, learner materials, assessments, and supporting learning resources.
- Review and enhance existing programmes to ensure curriculum relevance, quality, and alignment with industry developments.
- Organise focus group discussions and stakeholder engagements to gather insights on emerging workforce and learning needs.
- Leverage learning technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve learner engagement and learning effectiveness.
- Conduct Train-the-Trainer programmes to prepare Adult Educators and Volunteer Adult Educators for programme delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with subject matter experts, industry practitioners, and internal stakeholders to co-create high-quality, evidence-based learning solutions.
- Work closely with operations and marketing teams to support the successful launch and implementation of training initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with training partners, funding agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Stay updated on trends in adult learning, healthy longevity, healthcare, community care, workforce development, and learning technologies, and recommend curriculum enhancements.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Education, Training & Development, Adult Learning, Human Resource Development, or related discipline.
- Minimum WSQ ACTA/ACLP certification.
- WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) or WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP) preferred.
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in curriculum design, learning and development, facilitation, or training delivery.
- Experience developing and facilitating training programmes and workshops.
- Experience engaging adjunct trainers, facilitators, or volunteers.
- Prior experience in the healthcare, social service, community care, or related sectors will be advantageous.
- Experience developing clinical-related curriculum and learning materials is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent curriculum and courseware development skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
- Creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Effective presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is advantageous to engage Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and learners.
