The Canvas Hotel, Klang is looking for a motivated and responsible Maintenance Intern to join our hotel operations team.

Position: Maintenance Intern / Maintenance Trainee

Department: Engineering / Maintenance

Internship Duration: Minimum 3-5 months / based on university or college requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Maintenance team with daily inspection and maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment, and building systems.
• Assist in basic electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general maintenance works.
• Conduct routine checks of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Support the Maintenance team in attending to repair requests and operational issues.
• Record maintenance work, inspections, and equipment conditions accurately.
• Assist with setting up, checking, and maintaining hotel facilities and equipment.
• Ensure maintenance tools and work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow hotel safety procedures and maintenance guidelines.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, or building maintenance is an advantage.
• Willing to learn and gain practical experience in hotel maintenance operations.
• Responsible, punctual, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with other departments.
• Able to work in a hands-on environment.
• Fresh graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience may also be considered.
