Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Wash, peel, slice, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, cheeses, and meats for salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, and platters.
Station Maintenance: Keep the cold kitchen station clean, sanitized, and fully stocked during service hours.
Inventory & Stocking: Receive, check, and properly store food deliveries using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory rotation methods.
Plating & Presentation: Assist prep and line cooks with assembling and garnishing cold dishes according to restaurant recipes and presentation standards.
Kitchen Hygiene: maintain personal cleanliness, and perform routine deep cleaning of equipment, prep tables, and refrigerators.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment is an advantage, but entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn are welcome to apply.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed.
Certifications: A valid food hygiene/safety certificate is preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
Work Ethic: Punctual, reliable, and able to work efficiently as part of a team under pressure.
