I'm Edmund Chew, and I run 2x Digital. We're a Meta Business Partner handling ads for 25+ service businesses in Singapore... realtors, gyms, tuition centres, clinics. Over the last 30 days our accounts spent $122,288 of client money, and every dollar of it has to come back as a booked lead, or the client leaves.

We're looking for one person to train up as our social media content intern. You'd be shooting videos, editing videos, and pushing out content for clients, working with me directly rather than reporting to a manager.

I'll be honest about why I'm hiring. I've been the bottleneck in my own business for a while, and I'd rather teach one person properly over time than keep trying to do all of it myself.

WHAT YOU'D ACTUALLY BE DOING

• Shooting videos and content with real business owners around Singapore. You start by holding the camera. By the end you should be able to run a shoot yourself.
• Editing the footage: taking two hours of messy material and finding the 60 seconds that sells.
• Pushing out content for clients... reels, carousels, statics. You'll own the posting so clients stay visible every week.
• Writing hooks and captions, and then seeing the actual cost per lead your hook produced. That loop is where you really learn this.
• Working inside real-life case studies as they happen. These are live campaigns bringing in clients right now for realtors, gyms, tuition centres and clinics. You'll see which angles pulled leads and which flopped.
• Learning the AI tools we use daily for scripting, editing and ad analysis, and how to make them produce real work.

WHAT YOU'D KNOW AFTER SIX MONTHS

• How to shoot a talking head video on a phone, with no crew, that converts.
• How to edit and package that footage into content clients are proud to post.
• How to write a hook that lands in the first five seconds.
• How to read an ad account... cost per lead, cost per click, CPM, and which of those tells you the truth earliest.
• How to use AI properly for this kind of work.
• You'd finish with a portfolio of real client content and ads that ran with real budget behind them, and the numbers they produced.

WHO I THINK WOULD DO WELL HERE

• You're in Singapore and you can travel to shoots.
• You've shot and edited something before. A school project, a TikTok, a friend's wedding. I care that you've held a camera. What you studied matters less to me.
• You've held a part time job before, F&B or retail or anything with shifts. That tells me more than a marketing module does.
• You're looking to grow with one company over a few years. I'm hiring slowly because I want to keep whoever I train.
• You can take feedback. I give quite a lot of it, and it's always about the work.

THE DEAL

• $1,000 to $1,400 a month depending on where you are (poly vs final-year uni), three days a week, six months.
• Hours are flexible. I stop between 5 and 9pm for family, and I don't expect you around then either.
• Finish the six months and clear the internship requirements properly, and there's a full time role on the table. That's the plan, and it's why I'm being careful about who I take on.
