Job Summary

We are seeking passionate Science tutors to teach Upper Primary and Secondary students in the Woodleigh area, delivering engaging lessons that foster understanding and academic progress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Science lessons tailored to Upper Primary or Secondary students to enhance comprehension and engagement
• Explain scientific concepts clearly to facilitate student understanding and interest
• Prepare lesson plans and exercises aligned with each student’s academic level and learning needs
• Monitor and assess students’ progress regularly to provide constructive feedback and guidance
• Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and motivating learning environment that encourages student participation

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Demonstrated strong knowledge of Primary or Secondary Science syllabus
• Experience in teaching or tutoring Science students
• Patience, responsibility, and commitment to student development
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and parents
• Ability to commit to regular weekly lessons

Other Information

• Location: Woodleigh area
• Levels: Upper Primary & Secondary Science

Rates:

• Upper Primary Science: $30–$40/hour
• Secondary Science: $35–$50/hour

(Rate depends on experience and qualifications.)

• Class Availability: Multiple classes available to fit tutors’ preferred schedules
