Job Summary

We seek an experienced English tutor to deliver one-to-one onsite tuitions for a student (8 years old) preparing for Primary 3 admission via the AEIS pathway, focusing on strengthening English proficiency aligned with the Singapore MOE curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised one-to-one in-person English lessons to enhance student's learning engagement
• Improve the student's English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through targeted instruction
• Teach reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, composition writing, and oral communication to build comprehensive language skills
• Develop the student's English thinking and communication abilities to support academic success
• Monitor the student’s progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback to parents
• Prepare the student effectively for the AEIS English examination using appropriate teaching strategies and learning materials

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proven experience teaching English under the Singapore MOE Primary School curriculum and/or preparing students for the AEIS examination
• Strong understanding of Singapore Primary English syllabus and assessment standards
• Excellent spoken and written English with clear pronunciation
• Patient, responsible, engaging, and passionate about working with children
• Successful track record of helping students gain admission into Singapore Government Schools is an advantage

Other Information

• One-to-one onsite tuition arrangement
• 2–3 lessons per week, each lasting 1.5–2 hours
• Schedule to be mutually agreed upon
• Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience
