Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and responsible Pastry Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. You will assist in the daily preparation and production of cakes, pastries, and desserts while ensuring a clean and organized working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Preparation

Assist in preparing ingredients, fillings, creams, and batters according to recipes.

• Support the production of cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts.

• Assist with baking, decorating, finishing, and packaging products.

• Ensure products meet the company's quality and presentation standards.

• Prepare daily production items according to schedule.

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment, and utensils.

• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.

• Store ingredients and products properly to maintain freshness.

• Assist with inventory counting and stock rotation (FIFO).

• Inform supervisors of low stock levels or ingredient shortages.

Teamwork

• Work closely with chefs and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Follow instructions and recipes accurately.

• Be willing to learn new techniques and continuously improve skills.

• Support other tasks assigned by the Head Pastry Chef or Management.

Requirements

No experience required; training will be provided.

• Experience in bakery, pastry, or food & beverage industry is an advantage.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Responsible, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good personal hygiene and cleanliness.

• Able to work weekends and public holidays.

Working Conditions

• 6 working days per week.

• Shift work may be required.

• Meals provided.
