About the role

Yardex Outdoor Products Sdn Bhd is seeking a experienced, hands-on and highly motivated Logistic Executive to join our team in Kampar, Perak. As our pioneer Logistics Executive on the ground, you will have end-to-end ownership of our Malaysian logistics operations. This is a highly hands-on role perfect for one who thrives on building smooth, compliant processes from scratch and acting as the vital link between our local production and global trade networks (specifically North America and East Asia). The ideal candidate shall possess hands-on experience handling imports and exports, have strong understanding of Malaysian customs regulations with good knowledge of international trade requirements.

What you'll be doing

Shipment & Logistics Coordination:

·       Plan, schedule, and monitor end-to-end international freight movements (Sea/Air) to optimize transit times and cost efficiency.

·       Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, customers, sales, local production/warehouse teams to coordinate shipments.

·       Monitor shipment schedules, delivery timelines and shipment status.

Customs & Regulatory Compliance:

·       Oversee the accurate preparation and submission of local declarations (K1, K2, K9 forms, etc.)

·       Handle exports and imports clearance, permits, including duties and taxes, and applicable tax exemptions.

·       Manage and maintain documentation related to the Manufacturing License.

·       Ensure adherence to RMCD regulations and international trade requirements.

International Compliance and Trade Documentation:

·       Keep abreast of evolving global trade regulations, tariff classifications, and trade barriers.

·       Prepare and finalize all necessary shipping and banking documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading/AWB, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Customs declarations and MITI/SST exemption permits).

·       Handle marine insurance reporting, claims, and necessary documentation.

Process Development & Logistics Optimization:

·       Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and build a structured and systematic logistics operation. 

·       Prepare freight cost analysis, delivery performance report and present improvement recommendations to improve shipping efficiency, reduce logistics costs and strengthen process controls.

What we're looking for

·       Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

·       Experience handling Manufacturing License documentation, SST exemptions.

·       Familiar with RMCD rules and procedures.

·       Strong understanding of international shipping rules.

·       Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect documentation errors.

·       Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal local supervision in a new set-up environment.

·       Able to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·       Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·       Proficient in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

·       Knowledge in using integrated ERP system will be an advantage.

·       Good verbal and written communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin required.
