Job Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership in teaching, curriculum development, and quality assurance across psychology-related programmes.
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Psychology, Counselling, or Clinical Psychology.
• Supervise postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct impactful research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals (Scopus/WoS-indexed).
• Secure research grants and lead collaborative academic and community-based initiatives.
• Mentor junior faculty and contribute to staff development and capacity building.
• Participate in programme reviews, accreditation exercises, and strategic planning within the school.
• Engage with professional bodies, industry, and community partners to strengthen academic relevance and social impact.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology is mandatory
• A PhD in Psychology, Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Significant academic experience at a recognised institution, with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research.
• Strong publication record in indexed journals and evidence of research leadership.
• Experience in postgraduate supervision and curriculum development.
• For Clinical Psychology/Counselling candidates: eligibility or registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia, Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council) is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead academic teams and contribute to institutional development.
