Purpose of job:

Aligned with the company’s cost-saving policy, this role focuses on the efficient management and documentation of Building Repair and Maintenance (R&M) activities in accordance with EIMS procedures. The objective is to deliver high-quality R&M services to end-users while strengthening collaboration between the Building Engineering Section and Engineering Management. This approach supports the overall goal of optimizing maintenance processes and resources in line with the company’s financial objectives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform skilled maintenance and repair work in masonry, carpentry, painting, and plumbing in accordance with R&M SOPs and EIMS standards.
•  Inspect, clean, and maintain tools; report any damages for timely repair or replacement. 
• Adhere to safety protocols, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a safe working environment as per EIMS guidelines. 
• Attend training sessions to enhance skills and competencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and authority requirements.
• Document and report daily work activities and progress as required by EIMS. 
• Identify and promptly report defects or issues encountered during tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve issues within scope; escalate complex problems to supervisors when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, materials used, and hours worked.
• Provide inputs for inventory tracking and management of maintenance supplies.

Qualifications required:

Possesses a Diploma/Certificate in Building Maintenance, with basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting. Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and is capable of working independently or as part of a team. Exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills.
