Job Description

Requirements

Who can apply?

  • Bachelor’s Degree (JPA/MQA recognised) in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in production or manufacturing operations

  • Strong exposure to operations, safety, quality, engineering, and maintenance systems

  • Proven people leadership and decision‑making capability

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

  • Knowledge of HSE compliance and regulatory standards

  • Proficiency in MS Office, basic AutoCAD, and production systems

  • Project management experience is an advantage

  • Hands‑on, adaptable, and resilient leadership style

  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

  • Proficiency in English & Bahasa Melayu (local languages are a plus)

Responsibilities

Production Management

  • Plan, organise, and oversee production to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of pallets

  • Develop production schedules and allocate resources to meet output targets

  • Monitor production performance, quality standards, and specification compliance

Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage production supervisors and line operators

  • Coach, train, and develop teams while reinforcing strong safety discipline

  • Foster a positive, high‑performance culture focused on teamwork and learning

  • Lead and support root cause analysis across the supply chain

Quality Assurance

  • Implement and maintain robust quality control measures

  • Conduct inspections and audits to identify and resolve quality deviations

  • Partner with QA teams on corrective and preventive actions

  • Establish and maintain site‑wide calibration systems

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and internal safety standards

  • Promote a strong safety‑first culture across all teams

  • Lead safety training and incident/near‑miss investigations

  • Ensure machinery meets regulatory, environmental, and operational targets

Engineering & Projects

  • Lead and execute operational engineering projects

  • Propose and manage factory CAPEX budgets

  • Oversee mechanical, civil, structural, and electrical works with contractors and consultants

Maintenance

  • Establish preventive maintenance systems across factory, farm, and admin areas

  • Ensure equipment reliability and minimise unplanned downtime

  • Meet maintenance KPIs for performance and cost

  • Build and develop maintenance teams and contractor networks

  • Prepare weekly/monthly operational reports

  • Propose and manage site maintenance budgets

Inventory Management

  • Manage raw material, component, and finished goods inventory

  • Partner with procurement and logistics to ensure timely material supply

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and drive improvements across cost, safety, quality, and environmental performance

  • Implement lean manufacturing and CI methodologies

  • Analyse production data and KPIs to improve efficiency and productivity
