Sinopay Group is principally engaged in the provision of professional merchant acquiring services to UnionPay International, Banks and other Financial Institutes in Malaysia and Singapore. We are part of a larger group of FINTECH companies owned by Hong Kong Entrepreneur, Dr Christopher Chuang Tze Cheung, who is the Group Chairman of TGM Groups Holding Limited (registered in the British Virgin Islands) that also owned several payment related businesses in mainland China, Hong Kong and the Republic of Vanuatu. Sinopay Singapore Private Limited has its humble beginning in November 2004 when we collaborated with United Overseas Bank Limited to acquire merchants in Singapore for acceptance of China UnionPay (CUP) cards. We are one of the first CUP approved merchant acquirers outside mainland China. In January 2007, Sinopay Malaysia Sdn Berhad was set up in Kuala Lumpur when we expanded our merchant acquiring business across the causeway. Today, besides processing UnionPay card transactions, we provide a whole suite of electronic payment to our merchants, covering the major payment schemes such as Visa, MasterCard, JCB, AliPay and WeChat Pay. We are direct merchant acquirers licensed by UnionPay International and AliPay in Singapore and Malaysia. In addition, we are Payment Facilitators of UOB Singapore for acceptance of Visa, MasterCard, JCB and WeChat Pay. In Malaysia, we worked with several major banks as their Master Merchants for Visa and MasterCard processing. Sinopay Singapore also obtained its card issuing licence from UnionPay International in 2015. We issue both physical and virtual Prepaid UnionPay cards to cater for the needs of travellers as well as online shoppers. As at December 2020, we have more than 150,000 prepaid cards in circulation. Besides re-loadable cards, we also issue disposable pre-paid Card that is ideal as personal gift for any occasion. Besides, merchant acquiring business, we also provide terminal point-of-sales services to merchants through our sister companies, BP Payment (S) Pte Ltd and Be Positive Sdn Berhad in Singapore and Malaysia respectively. We have also recently launched our “Little Bee” Smart F&B Menu Ordering platform to serve the F&B sector.
