One of its core products is Spent Bleaching Earth Oil (SBEO), a key feedstock with strong potential for the production of sustainable, low-carbon fuels.

Through its five state-of-the-art facilities located in Malaysia and Indonesia, EcoOils produces high-quality, ISCC-certified biofuel feedstock that supports the global transition toward cleaner energy alternatives.

Part of the Shell Group

In November 2022, EcoOils was acquired by Shell Eastern Petroleum Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell plc.

This strategic acquisition aligns with Shell’s broader ambition to expand investment in sustainable, low-carbon transport fuels. EcoOils now manufactures and supplies advanced feedstock compatible with Shell’s biofuel facilities, strengthening collaboration in the delivery of cleaner energy solutions.

Shell has maintained a presence of over 125 years in Malaysia and Indonesia, with operations spanning gas exploration and production, retail service stations, and a growing portfolio of cleaner energy initiatives.
